Meet Diana Tommingo

Hello! I’m a full-time military realtor serving Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. I specialize in helping military buyers and sellers, with a strong focus on veterans and military families relocating to the DC area.

I offer in-depth knowledge of neighborhoods near major military installations, including the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, Navy Yard, Fort Myer, Fort Belvoir, Walter Reed, and other nearby military bases—helping you find the right home close to where you work and live.

As a military and VA-certified realtor, I guide active-duty service members, veterans, and military families through every step of the home-buying and selling process. If you need assistance with a VA loan assumption, I have experience helping clients successfully buy and sell homes using VA assumptions, FHA assumptions, and Conventional loan assumptions.

I am originally from Lima, Peru, and I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I moved to Northern Virginia in the late ‘90s and have deep roots in the local community. After high school, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from George Mason University and later completed a Master’s Degree. With the support of my family and friends, I transitioned from an engineering career into real estate and built a thriving business, collaborating with some of the top real estate firms in the Washington DC metro area.

My husband, Elliot Tommingo, is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Major and served as the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs for the District of Columbia (2019–2023). His experience and insight further strengthen my commitment to serving military families. I am proud to work with members of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.

Military Buyer Credits & Discount Listing Services

Military Buyers - Closing Cost Credit

As a military realtor, I negotiate with the seller to cover my 2.5% buyer’s agent commission, so you do not pay it out of pocket. Once the commission is agreed upon, I provide a military buyer credit equal to 0.5% of the sales price as a thank-you for your service and for choosing me as your agent.

Example Buyer Credits:

• $500,000 purchase price → $2,500 credit

• $600,000 purchase price → $3,000 credit

• $700,000 purchase price → $3,500 credit

• $800,000 purchase price → $4,000 credit

• $1,000,000 purchase price → $5,000 credit

Military Sellers - Discount Listing Services

List your home at 2% of the sales price + a $395 broker fee.

Traditional realtors charge between 2.5% and 3% to sell your house. I offer a reduced 2% listing fee, helping you save thousands while still receiving full-service representation.

I cover the full cost of marketing your home, including professional photography and video, floor plans, a 3D virtual tour, custom brochures, open houses, yard signage, and staging.

You get full-service real estate marketing at a lower commission. No shortcuts, just results.
