The name was chosen to reflect the area's proximity to national landmarks such as The Pentagon and Reagan National Airport, as well as its role as a hub for businesses, particularly in the technology and innovation sectors. The renaming was also intended to highlight the area's connection to Amazon's HQ2, which is located in National Landing.
Since the opening of Amazon's HQ2 at National Landing, the real estate market in Arlington has become increasingly competitive and expensive. However, the area continues to attract residents seeking a mix of urban amenities, suburban charm, and easy access to Washington, DC.
