Crystal City is a safe neighborhood in the eastern part of Arlington, 4 miles from Washington, DC. It’s an urban area with high-rise condo buildings, apartment complexes, and office buildings. Crystal City is a commercial area, so it’s pretty quiet at night and on weekends when offices close. The DEA headquarters, The Pentagon, and the FBI are all nearby, making the neighborhood highly monitored. The Crystal City Metro Station provides easy access to Downtown DC via the Yellow and Blue Metro Lines. The neighborhood is also accessible via the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) commuter rail at the Crystal City VRE Station, taking passengers to DC’s Union Station.
